3 Festivals that fall in the First Quarter of the Year

In 2012, the Chinese New Year falls on January 23rd and I created this 'Dragon' design to be suitable for any year as it plays an important part in Chinese Festivities.

Mardi Gras

Mardi Gras (literally 'Fat Tuesday') is celebrated on the day before Ash Wednesday, in 2012 this will be on February 21st. Masks, beads and crowns are all symbols associated with Mardi Gras, as are the colours green, purple and gold.

Norooz

Norooz, which has many different spellings, is the name for the Persian New Year. It falls on or around 21st March and celebrates the new beginnings that mark the arrival of spring.
