I have always loved the Laura Ashley mini-prints for which she became famous nearly half a century ago!

I love the fact that they can be pretty and floral and yet formal and understated at the same time. And here is my first attempt at something similar. I hope it will be the first of many -

(The rosebuds were inspired by the rather rotund, bright pinkish-orange buds on my Albertine, old-fashioned rambling rose, that put me in mind of 'The Darling Buds of May' each year when they appear!)
